Winter (June - August)

During the winter months, the Central Midlands region becomes the perfect destination for nature lovers. One of the popular winter activities in the region is the wildflower spotting. The region has over 12,000 plant species that bloom during the winter months, including the iconic wildflowers.

The Bindoon Farmers Market happens each Sunday, where you can purchase locally produced foods. There is also an agricultural show in August where you can see all the farm animals, taste sheep shearing demonstrations, and enjoy the rides.

Spring (September - November)

Springtime is perfect for outdoor activities, and the Central Midlands region has plenty to offer. The Quairading Show, held annually, is the perfect family event – with demonstrations, rides and live music.

The Chittering Spring Festival, held in October, is another great spring event. Visitors can enjoy the beautiful scenery through orchards and vineyards, enjoy local food and wine, and participate in live entertainment.

Summer (December - February)

The Central Midlands region is ideal for outdoor activities during the summer months. For those looking for music and arts, the much-anticipated Moora Music Festival is held every February in the town of Moora. The festival offers a range of performers ranging from pop to Country to alternative rock.

During this time, there is the Bindoon Show, which takes place in November. Visitors to the show can enjoy a variety of activities, including a children's petting zoo, craft competitions, horse-jumping events, and the famous Bindoon Ute Muster.

Autumn (March - May)

The annual Toodyay International Food Festival is the highlight of Autumn in the Central Midlands region. The event offers a wide range of international food, wine, and beer. While enjoying your food, there is live music throughout the festival and the Toodyay Farmer's Market is open with local produce. The Toodyay Agricultural Show, held in May, is a popular destination that offers live entertainment with agricultural demonstrations, art and craft stalls, and a sideshow alley.

For those who enjoy cycling, the York Cycling Festival is held every April. The event offers a range of cycling events, food stalls, and live music.
